Welcome to the Addiction Research Lab website
The mission of the Addiction Research Lab at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is to learn more about the neurological, physiological, and psychological factors that lead to alcohol and substance use disorders. We aim to use this information to develop effective addiction treatment.
The Addiction Research Lab is under the direction of Dr. Daniel Roche and is part of the Treatment Research Program at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center.
