Educational Mission

The provision of education and training opportunities to consumers, students, trainees and the general community is one of three Outpatient Research Program (ORP) missions. Training opportunities are available at all levels of education.

Training at the Universityof Maryland School of Medicine is provided through supervision and case conference directorship by MPRC faculty. Psychiatric residents may participate either as a fourth year elective or as part of a resident research track. In both experiences, residents take on clinical responsibilities in the ORP and work with a mentor to develop a research project that may be clinically oriented or related to the biological aspects of schizophrenia.
