Psychiatric Care

Psychiatric care can help individuals experiencing psychotic symptoms such as:

  • Hallucinations
  • False beliefs
  • Suspicious and disorganized thinking
  • Lack of motivation
  • Loss of interest in things that were previously enjoyed

Care involves creating a comprehensive treatment plan to help reduce symptoms and improve your quality of life.

A psychiatrist will usually meet with you during your first appointment for an initial psychiatric evaluation, then will meet with you on an as-needed basis, generally starting at one visit every one or two weeks. Visits can be reduced to every month for some individuals and even longer for most persons served once they are stable.
