Because the research of Schizophrenia and Related Disorders is part of the mission, persons served in the clinic will be asked, from time to time, to participate in University of Maryland approved protocols. Participation is an expectation. Though participation in any one study is not required, a pattern of unwillingness to participate over time will lead to transfer to community care.  Only persons served who are psychiatrically stable and able to provide informed consent will be invited for participation.
